Are you attending a World Cup match or fan event this summer? Or maybe you're just navigating a city buzzing with soccer fans. Here are some tips for riding bike share to big events:
1. Plan ahead
Park your car outside the busy area, using your Bike Share KC app to choose an area with plenty of bikes available. We recommend using a credit card instead of a debit card if possible, to avoid tying up your funds.
2. Park and lock up
Use the Bike Share KC app to find a parking hub, or for a $2 fee, lock up at a street sign or other fixed object. Do not lock the bike to a bus stop or street car stop, handrail, or private property, and make sure you aren't blocking a sidewalk, stairway, or doorway.
3. Don't panic
Cell phone service may be spotty with so many people in one place. During especially busy times, you may need to wait for crowds to disperse before you can unlock a bike.
